Teachers: Enter for a chance to win a $25,000 grant for your school in the Chevron Classroom Challenge™
In addition to the Fuel Your School promotion, Chevron is awarding $25,000 cash grants to ten public schools in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties (five schools from each county will receive such grants). Teachers can enter the Chevron Classroom Challenge by submitting eligible project requests that emphasize Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) education during the Fuel Your School promotion. The Chevron Classroom Challenge is looking for submissions that detail the creativity and innovative nature of the requested materials that support STEM education. Submissions will be judged and scored in the areas of hands-on and sustainable learning while supporting existing classroom curriculum and other criteria as detailed in the rules governing the Chevron Classroom Challenge.
The winning schools must use the $25,000 grant to support academic programs in the area of STEM education.

Chevron is making it easy for everyone to help public school students in Alameda and Contra Costa Counties through the Fuel Your School promotion:
Teachers submit projects detailing the materials and supplies they need for their classroom projects at DonorsChoose.org. Chevron encourages classroom project requests that support science, technology, engineering or math (STEM) education.
This October, when everyone fills up with 8 gallons or more, Chevron will help fund projects by donating $1 per fill-up, up to $1 million, to support eligible classroom projects.
DonorsChoose.org will use Chevron's donations to fund eligible classroom projects. Once projects are funded, the materials/supplies will be acquired and distributed by DonorsChoose.org and the learning can begin.
Throughout October, everyone can help fund eligible classroom projects in their city by filling up with 8 gallons or more at participating Chevron or Texaco stations.

On or about September 30 DonorsChoose.org will run a key-phrase search to capture all eligible submissions for the Challenge and will send those Challenge submissions to Chevron for consideration of the grant awards.
